Rough Draft: Volume 2
Welcome to another edition of Rough Draft, a newsletter for unfinished electronic music. I wanted to start by thanking everyone who left feedback on last week’s music, whether by email or on SoundCloud. This newsletter is only worthwhile because of your feedback, and it means a lot that you took the time to write it. If you’re new to the newsletter and want to listen to the last edition, you can find it here.
I’m looking for another submission or two for next week. If you’re interested in getting a draft of your music in front of 102 people, reply to this email and say hi, or email me directly if you prefer.
Those are all of the updates. Let’s listen to some music.

I have included links to three tracks below, along with details about what kind of feedback each artist is looking for. Listen, enjoy, and if something catches your ear, reply to this email with your thoughts. Each track is hosted privately on SoundCloud, so if you’d prefer to leave comments there, you are welcome to.
L I L I T H — “TBD”
This track is dreamy, lush, and catchy, folding spacey vocals over subdued melodies and pads. L I L I T H is a Brooklyn-based artist, and has asked for feedback on the arrangement of the song as well as general thoughts on its tone. Listen here.Artem — “Untitled”
Wandering and multi-faceted, this untitled track plays almost like a heady, psychedelic DJ set, exploring breakbeats, acid, and an occasional vocal sample. Artem is a Brooklyn-based producer, and is specifically looking for first impressions and thoughts on how to make the latter half of the track sound more cohesive. Listen here.Pouch Envy — “Nymphsomnia”
Opening with a catchy, cleverly-crafted rhythm, Nymphsomnia uses break samples and deliberate synthwork to reconstruct a rave from its pieces. Pouch Envy is a Brooklyn-based artist and is looking for feedback on how the track could become more club-focused. Listen here.
That’s all I have for now. Drop me a line if you have any thoughts about the music, this news letter, or anything else. I’ll see you in about a week.
Safe travels.
