Welcome to this week’s edition of Rough Draft, a newsletter for unfinished electronic music. If you’re interested in submitting music for the newsletter, reply directly to this email or get in touch with me directly. If you’re new to the newsletter and want to listen to any previous editions, you can find them all here. I’m always happy to pass on any feedback.
I hope you’re doing alright. I’ve been in bed with a fever this week, although I am already feeling quite a bit better. No matter how hard you try to keep healthy, sometimes you can’t do enough. My apologies to anyone I kept waiting on feedback or replies to emails.
I have one request for you (yes, you): if you haven’t left feedback on a song before, give it a shot this week. There are a bunch of submissions lined up, which is extremely exciting, and I’d love to be able to share a breadth of thoughts on them. If you’re at a loss for words, a sentence or two about how the music makes you feel often goes a long way.
As usual, I have three incredible tracks ready for you this week, just below the photo. Give them a listen and reply to this email with your thoughts.

Ma Sha Ru — “Banno”
Eclectically paired sound samples and a rolling bassline work their way into a punchy, catchy dancefloor heater. Ma Sha Ru is a Brooklyn-based artist, and any feedback is appreciated. Listen here.Alexey Dreva — “Letov EBM”
This is a scorcher of a track — heavily, pummeling, and maximally produced EBM complete with larger than life vocals and a driving bassline. Alexey is based in New York and has asked for mixing and arranging feedback, although any feedback is welcome. Listen here.SunDim — “SundayFunday”
SunDim is a temporary collaboration between two Brooklyn-based producers. The results are as hazy and warm as the name implies — the warm, overdriven sounds and permeating pads feel at home in a party that’s spilled out into the daylight. General feedback is appreciated. Listen here.
That’s all I have. Leave a comment or two on a track, or drop me a line if you’d like a hand on some feedback. Hang in there, stay healthy, and I’ll see you all next week.
